The Nigeria Police Force has launched a full investigation into an incident involving popular Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1. The probe was ordered by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, following a petition from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

According to a press statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, KWAM 1 is accused of engaging in unruly behaviour on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The alleged conduct is said to have obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft, in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.

IGP Egbetokun has directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure that justice is served.

The police force has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining safety and security in Nigeria’s aviation sector and has pledged to collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with aviation laws.
