Ipokia – The Chairman of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Ms. Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo, has called on local government workers in Ipokia to uphold high standards of integrity, hard work, and punctuality in the discharge of their duties.

Onabanjo gave the charge on Wednesday during a working visit to the Ipokia Local Government Area. She expressed her delight at receiving positive reports about the workers’ conduct from the Council Chairman, Hon. Avoseh Johnson Akohomeh, and the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr. Emmanuel Pogbe.

“I am extremely happy receiving good news about the workers from the local government leadership,” Onabanjo stated. She admonished the workforce to continue to exhibit good virtues and remain dedicated to their roles.

The Commission Chairman also extended her gratitude to the State Governor, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his “pleasant disposition” towards local government workers across the state. She further commended the Ipokia Council Chairman, Hon. Akohomeh, for fostering a harmonious working relationship between the management and staff.

Echoing the chairman’s sentiments, the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Engr. Olanike Olawunmi Ogunbona, FNSE, thanked the council’s political functionaries for creating an enabling environment for the workers. She also praised the staff for their warm reception and implored them to continue being good ambassadors of the state service commission.

In his remarks, the HOLGA of Ipokia, Mr. Emmanuel Pogbe, commended the commission’s leadership for its “laudable and enviable achievements.” He assured that his administration consistently operates in tandem with the commission’s directives.

Pogbe also highlighted the local government’s commitment to staff development, revealing that regular in-house training sessions are organized to boost productivity.

The visit featured a robust question-and-answer session where various issues were discussed.

The Commission’s delegation included Hon. Olufemi Adiro, Commissioner for Manpower Development; Otunba Koye Martin Ijaduoye, Management Services; Hon. Olatunde Azeez Osunbiyi, Posting, Promotion and Transfer; and Hon. Balogun Rasaq Olatunde Rufai.
