The State Executive Committee (SEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has passed a resounding vote of confidence on the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, commending his administration’s transformative impact across the state.
The vote followed extensive deliberations during the Committee’s statutory meeting held at the State Party Secretariat on Friday, December 12, 2025.
In a communiqué signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Olufemi Nuberu, the SEC expressed “great satisfaction” with the performance of the APC-led government, highlighting its alignment with the party’s manifesto and the expectations of the electorate.
The Committee specifically applauded the Governor’s proactive security initiatives, which have reinforced Ogun State’s status as one of the most peaceful in the country, and hailed the rapid industrialisation and infrastructural developments driven by the administration’s “ISEYA” mantra.
The motion for the formal commendation of the Governor was moved by the Party’s Legal Adviser, Barrister Abayomi Siwoniku, and was unanimously endorsed by all members of the State Executive Committee.
Beyond evaluating government performance, the SEC also outlined a strategic roadmap for strengthening the party’s internal structures. Key resolutions included a mandate for enhanced participatory engagement at all levels, with an emphasis on routine meetings and membership mobilisation.
The Committee directed the three Senatorial Chairmen (Ogun East, West, and Central) to immediately develop a sustainable schedule for mandatory monthly senatorial meetings, supported by promised regular enablement from the party.
On membership and voter mobilisation, the SEC acknowledged the significant influx of new members and announced preparations for an imminent registration and revalidation exercise. Party leaders at all levels were charged to mobilise eligible members for the upcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise within the INEC-stipulated timeframe.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the State Party Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, who appreciated members for their steadfast commitment to the party’s progress.
