Abeokuta- Top chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun Central Senatorial District have unanimously agreed to foster greater unity within the party and initiate an aggressive campaign to onboard new members via its digital registration platform.

The decision was a key outcome of a crucial stakeholders’ meeting convened on Monday at the Ibara GRA residence of a former Governor of Ogun State and party stalwart, Chief Olusegun Osoba.
Presiding over the gathering, the APC Senatorial District Chairman, Chief Sunday Sowunmi, underscored that internal cohesion and an inclusive leadership approach are indispensable for securing electoral victory in the 2027 general elections.
Key Decisions Reached
The forum issued a strong vote of confidence in both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. It further directed executives at the Local Government and Ward levels to institute regular monthly stakeholders’ forums and embark on an intensive mobilisation drive.
A primary focus will be to significantly increase membership figures through the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the party’s own e-membership revalidation exercise, which was declared the foremost priority for all party officials.
The leadership sternly warned against any conduct that could undermine party stability, asserting that all grievances must be addressed through established internal mechanisms and that individual aspirations must not override the collective interest of the APC.
