A tragic incident has shaken the community of Odoraboyejo Ojowo in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, after a woman was found dead in her boyfriend’s home under mysterious circumstances. The suspect, identified as Ramoni Abiodun Segun, has been apprehended by the Ogun State Amotekun Corps for questioning.
The incident came to light on the morning of Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, when an anonymous distress call alerted authorities that a woman, later identified as Adijat, was found unresponsive in Segun’s residence. According to reports, Segun had brought Adijat to his home on the evening of Monday, February 3rd, after she complained of severe stomach pains.
Amotekun operatives swiftly responded to the scene and took Segun into custody. In his statement, Segun claimed that Adijat had been suffering from stomach pain throughout the night, which he believed led to her untimely death. However, the exact cause of death remains unclear, prompting further investigation.
The suspect has been transferred to the Ijebu Igbo Police Division, where he is being held for further questioning. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
