The newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 13, Sagamu, Mr Rabiu Adeniyi, popularly known as “Warrior,” has officially assumed office with a vow to lead with integrity, transparency, and loyalty to the party hierarchy.

In his first remarks following his emergence, Adeniyi extended a heartfelt appreciation to the elders, leaders, and members of the ward for the confidence reposed in his leadership. He described his election not as a personal victory, but as a collective mandate to foster unity and advance the ideals of the APC at the grassroots level.
Adeniyi specifically acknowledged the support of key party stalwarts in the ward, including Olotu Omooba Jimi Olatunji (Aare), Prince Ade Adesanya, Otunba Oye Odunfunwa, and Comrade Suleiman Oyegunle. He noted that their steadfast commitment and mentorship remain vital pillars for the party’s continued growth in the area.
The new Chairman also extended special recognition to Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle for what he described as unparalleled dedication and solidarity throughout the election process. He assured that such sacrifices would not be taken for granted and emphasised the importance of unity in maintaining the party’s strength at the local level.
On the state level, Adeniyi expressed profound gratitude to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his fatherly role and inclusive leadership style. He commended the Governor’s structured approach to governance and party administration, which he noted continues to inspire loyalty among APC members across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in executives, Adeniyi pledged an open-door policy and a leadership style rooted in accountability. He assured stakeholders that the executive committee would prioritise grassroots mobilisation and work collaboratively with elders to strengthen the party ahead of future elections.
In a show of solidarity, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle also weighed in, expressing confidence in the new leadership. He reiterated the unwavering support of Ward 13 for Governor Abiodun’s senatorial ambition for Ogun East in the 2027 elections. Alowonle charged the new executives to lead with responsibility and to focus on peaceful, strategic engagement with community members to broaden the party’s support base.
The emergence of Adeniyi and his team signals a renewed commitment within Ward 13 to consolidate APC’s grassroots structures and prepare for the electoral challenges ahead.
