All is not well at the Olusegun Obasanjo’s Presidential Library, OOPL, Abeokuta as the sum of #77million has been allegedly discovered to be missing from the purse of the organisation.

According to a reliable source, the fraud which has been going on for years was recently discovered through the efforts of those in the Audit department.

The source added that, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who is the Chief promoter of the organisation was so shocked and furious when the fraud was reported to him to the extent that he had to call the law enforcement agents to whisk away the perpetrators for questioning.

It was also learnt that some of the past workers were recalled, and some of the accounting staff have been taken to the Ogun State Police Headquarters, Eleweran.

According to our source, three staff of the audit department are cooling their feet at the police headquarters, Eleweran Abeokuta Ogun State.

Contacted for confirmation of arrest by the police, Ogun police command spokesman DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said “ I am not aware, I will find out.”

Contacted for confirmation of the story, media aide to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Kehinde Akinyemi said “contact the PRO at OOPL”.

At the Chief promoter of OOPL reception office, Prestige online was told that OOPL has no public relations officer and the reporter was directed to the Administrative/Human resource office.
