ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE – Popular yet controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has voluntarily reported to the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. According to Odutola, Portable arrived at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at exactly 1:23 PM.
“His presence at the SCID is in connection with an ongoing investigation,” Odutola stated. She further assured the public that the police would follow due process in handling the matter and promised to provide updates as the situation unfolds.
Portable had been declared wanted by the police following allegations of assault on officials of the Ogun State Town Planning Agency. The incident occurred during an enforcement operation at the singer’s property in the Ilogbo area of the state.
Details of the investigation remain under wraps, but the singer’s appearance at the police headquarters suggests a step toward resolving the matter.
