Cornerstone Swears-in New Secretary to Ipokia LG

Ipokia Local Government Chairman, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, has commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for approving the appointment of a new Secretary to the Local Government.

The commendation came during the swearing-in ceremony of Hon. Babajide Johnson Olushola as the new Secretary to Ipokia Local Government, which took place today at the Local Government Secretariat.

Hon. Avoseh charged the newly appointed Secretary to utilize his wealth of experience for the betterment of Ipokia Local Government. He described Hon. Olushola as a seasoned politician and experienced public administrator, having previously served as the Executive Chairman during the era of Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the State.

In his inaugural speech, Hon. Babajide Johnson Olushola, after taking the Oath of Allegiance administered by the Director in Charge of Administration and General Services, Mr Abiodun Adeogun, pledged to work tirelessly, diligently, and collaboratively to serve the good people of Ipokia Local Government. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that the trust reposed in him translates to meaningful development and progress for the people.

Hon. Olushola also expressed deep gratitude to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for the confidence the Governor had in him and thanked other distinguished personalities who played a significant role in his appointment.

The colourful event was attended by career officers led by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Emmanuel Pogbe, and political functionaries, including the Executive Chairman and the Legislative Arm of the Local Government.

Other dignitaries at the occasion included Hon. Taiwo Whepetoji, APC Party Chairman, Hon. Joshu Amos Senayon, former Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Olabode Caleb, former Supervisor for Information and Education, Hon. (Mrs) Amidi Ololade Rasheedat, former Supervisor for Works and Housing, Hon. Sewanu James Makanjuola, former Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Joel Bankole, former Executive Chairman of the Local Government, and Hon. Ojo Adebowale Viwanu, former member of the House of Assembly.
