The Media campaign Director, Ogun State authentic Gubernatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Emmanuel Ojo has ruled out defection of Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He described the rumor as concocted lies being peddled around by disgruntled elements.
According to him, with this laughable release, it is now obvious that our detractors are running out of propaganda ideas, hence their resort to cheap and unsubstantiated lies against Prince Abiodun”.
Ojo said his reaction to this shallow piece was necessitated out of the need to set the records straight and put things in the right perspectives for discerning minds to decipher.
He asked:”How can the official Gubernatorial candidate of our great party in Ogun make any plans to dump his party for another political party?”
This,he said is simply illogical and cannot be thought of by any reasonable being.
He added that the story is just one of the imaginative thinking of the writer and also an attempt to cause needless confusion in the polity.
Ojo urged supporters and the general public not to panic or get worried over such lies. He described the story as another failed attempt coming from the enemies of due process, who are still finding it hard to cope with the successful emergence of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the validly elected APC Governorship candidate in Ogun State.
“We want to also seize this opportunity to urge all other APC members who might still be feeling aggrieved for not having their aspirant emerged as candidate to join hands with us towards ensuring total victory for the party in Ogun state and Nigeria at large,”he appealed.
Ojo noted that the party is in dire need of every stakeholder to come on board at this crucial period and no one should be left behind.
