Abeokuta – In a significant move to bolster its administrative framework, the Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Basorun Adebayo Awosanya from Sagamu Local Government as a Consultant to the Governor.
The announcement was made official in a letter signed by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, which confirmed that the appointment is set to take effect from Monday, 11th August 2025.
According to the communication from the Governor’s office, the remuneration and benefits associated with this new role will be strictly aligned with the state’s extant Remuneration Package for Political, Public, and Judicial Office Holders.
Governor Abiodun extended his “hearty congratulations” to Mr. Awosanya, describing the appointment as “well-deserved.” The Governor also conveyed his best wishes for a “very successful and rewarding tenure of Office.” The letter formally requested that Mr. Awosanya accept the offer in writing to finalise the appointment.
This strategic appointment is widely viewed as part of the administration’s continued efforts to integrate experienced and dedicated individuals into its governance structure to further the state’s development agenda.
In a related reaction, Basorun Adebayo Awosanya has expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Ogun State and other leaders who contributed to his appointment. He pledged unwavering loyalty and commitment to working closely with the governor to support the administration’s objectives.
