Ogun State – Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has extended heartfelt condolences to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the passing of his mother, Mrs. Lydia Yilwatda.

The octogenarian died on Saturday at Jos University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State, at the age of 83.

In a condolence message, Governor Abiodun described the late Mrs. Yilwatda as a cherished matriarch whose demise represents a profound loss not only to her family but also to all who knew her. He praised her as an exemplary woman who lived a life of resilience, kindness, and dedication to both family and community.

“Her nurturing spirit and boundless love have left an indelible mark on the lives of many, shaping the values and character of those she touched,” the governor stated.

Highlighting the deceased’s enduring influence, Governor Abiodun noted that Mrs. Yilwatda raised her children with strong principles of integrity, hard work, and service to humanity – virtues reflected in Professor Yilwatda’s leadership of the ruling party.

“As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” Governor Abiodun added.

The governor prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
