A 55-year-old church prophet, identified as Abayomi Adetula, has been slain by unknown gunmen at his church in Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area, Ogun State.
This Newspaper learned that Ojoola, who is also the founder and prophet of the Celestial Hebrew Cathedral Special, was attacked and killed on Sunday, the 19th, at around 10 a.m. while ministering at his church.
According to eyewitnesses and residents of Baggage Road, where the church is located, spoke to Vanguard on a phone call, gunmen entered Adetula’s church minutes after 10 a.m. and shot him during the church service.

“Adetula was attacked by gunmen who entered his church minutes after 10 a.m. on Sunday while he was inside. The church is situated off Old Baggage Road.
“They first shot him, but the bullets did not penetrate him.
“They then proceeded to inflict fatal wounds on him with their other weapons, which include hammer and machete. From the way they operated, it’s clear they were hired assassins.”
However the picture of Adetula shared to our correspondent, showed evidence of him being matched while blood was still gushing out.
