Ifo LG Chairman, Kusimo Presents N11.8 Billion “Budget of Excellence” for 2025

The Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Olalekan Kusimo, has presented a proposed N11.8 billion budget for the 2025 fiscal year to the Legislative Council for approval. Dubbed the “Budget of Excellence,” the proposal was unveiled during a plenary session at the Council Secretariat on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

In his address, Hon. Kusimo expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the opportunity to serve his people. He emphasized the budget’s broader significance, stating that the budget is not merely a statement of figures but a reflection of our collective values, strategic priorities, and unwavering commitment to excellence in governance.

The balanced budget of N11,890,831,663.17 (Eleven Billion, Eight Hundred and Ninety Million, Eight Hundred and Thirty-One Thousand, Six Hundred and Sixty-Three Naira, Seventeen Kobo) aligns projected revenues with expenditures.

Hon. Samuel Bamgboye, Leader of the Legislative Council, speaking on behalf of his colleagues assured thorough scrutiny and accelerated deliberation for timely passage, underscoring the Council’s dedication to fiscal responsibility.

The event was graced by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abibat Ojo; Secretary to the Local Government, Mrs. Temitope Adegboyega; Supervisors; Special Advisers; Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Fatai Ogundele; as well as Directors and Heads of Departments.
