Ipokia Local Government Chairman, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, popularly known as Cornerstone, paid a working visit to the Tube International Market on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The visit aimed to evaluate the market’s current state and explore opportunities for further development and expansion.
Upon arrival, Hon. Avoseh and his delegation were warmly received at the Palace of the Baale of Tube, Baale Adagunja Hodewu Thasi, alongside other community leaders, including Baale Ajidokun Visohedo and Baale Poe, Koko Joshua. During his address, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Senapon Pogbe, explained that the visit was intended to introduce the Executive Chairman to the Baale and conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the market.
Hon. Avoseh emphasized the importance of understanding the challenges facing Tube Market and collaborating with community leaders to address them. He urged Baale Adagunja to continue working closely with the Local Government to ensure the market’s growth and smooth administration.
In his response, Baale Adagunja praised the Chairman for the visit and assured him of the market’s peaceful environment and thriving commercial activities. He also prayed for the success of Hon. Avoseh’s administration.
The Babaloja of Tube Market, Ajidokun Visohedo, encouraged traders to cooperate with revenue collectors by paying necessary fees to support the Local Government’s efforts.
Following the meeting, Hon. Avoseh and his team inspected various sections of the market. The delegation included the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babajide Johnson Olushola, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Senapon Pogbe, the Council Treasurer, Mr. Rotimi Opeodu, the Internal Auditor, Mr. Adeniyi Akeeb Alao, the Administrative Officer, Mr. Ojo Nurudeen, and other officials.
The visit underscores the Local Government’s commitment to fostering development and improving infrastructure in Tube Market, a key commercial hub in Ipokia.
