The Executive Mayor of the Ifoyin Municipality Republic of Benin, Aladja Ileola Morufat Folake, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of IPOKIA Local Government, HON. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, AKA Cornerstone, on Thursday, 6th February 2025, at his office in the Secretariat.
Speaking during the visit, the Mayor, Aladja Falola, sought a partnership between IPOKIA Local Government and the Republic of Benin on the creation of an Art gallery (Museum) and Tourism. She stresses that this will give the Local Government global fame and generate huge revenue for the two Countries.
Aladja Falola also speaks of common interests between the two Council Areas ( Ifoyin Municipality and Ipokia Local Government). The issues include promoting peace, security and legal trade across the two regions.
She was accompanied by Dr. Bonny Abisogun Botoku, chief Executive officer of Integration Art Palace and Tours, Idiroko and Secretary General of Inter Border Forum.
Responding, Hon. Johnson Avoseh thanked the Mayor and her team for the courtesy visit and further disclosed that the two regions have things in common, most especially in the area of culture, he however said that his administration is in support of partnering with Ifoyin Municipality in the area of Art and culture because it will boost the revenue generation of the Local Government.
The courtesy visit was graced by the Local Government Vice Chairman, Hon.( Mrs) Olufunmilayo Okewole, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babajide Johnson Olushola, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Emmanuel Senapon Pogbe, Council Treasurer, Mr Rotimi Opeodu, the Director General Services and Administration, Mr Abiodun Adeogun and Director of Information Department, Mrs Olumide Esther O.
