Ipokia, Ogun State – In a major boost to infrastructure development, the Ipokia Local Government has successfully restored its long-abandoned grader after 12 years of inactivity. The grading operation is currently ongoing in multiple zones, targeting key roads to enhance accessibility for residents. In Zone A, work has been completed in Ipokia I and Ipokia II, with the grader now deployed to the Ipokia Madasi – Vawhe Topa Road in Maun II.

In Zone B, grading has been finalized on Agada Road and the Ibilafon – Tube Road in Tube Ward, with the team set to move into Ijofin/Idosa Ward next. Meanwhile, the council’s own grader, following a successful test run in Ilase Ward, has been assigned to Zone C, where grading is already underway in Ilase, with plans to expand to adjoining communities in the coming weeks.

The restoration of the grader and the ongoing road rehabilitation align with the ISEYA five-pillar agenda of the Ogun State Government, championed by **His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun CON.

Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, emphasized that the initiative underscores his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and improved living standards for residents.

“Bringing our grader back to life after over a decade is a testament to our dedication to progress. We are determined to ensure that all communities in Ipokia enjoy better road networks in line with the ISEYA vision,”he stated.

The council has assured residents of sustained efforts to rehabilitate more roads and enhance mobility across the local government.
