The lawmaker representing Sango Ward in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Joel Okeodebija, has extended his congratulations to the Sango Youth Council on the occasion of its first anniversary, which was celebrated on Sunday, 31st August, 2025.

The Council, under the leadership of its President, Mr. Babajide Martins, popularly known as Jabot, has been commended for its formidable, impactful, and innovative contributions since its establishment in 2024. It is widely recognised for promoting its core slogan: Love, Peace, and Creativity.

In recognition, Hon. Okeodebija praised the unwavering commitment of the council’s zonal governors, offering special recognition to the governor of his own zone, Hon. Azeez Adeniji. He also highlighted the exemplary leadership of President Babajide Martins, noting that under his guidance, the Council has achieved remarkable strides. He pointed out that numerous youths and future leaders have benefited from a variety of empowerment initiatives launched by the organisation.

Furthermore, the lawmaker lauded the Council’s consistent and organised efforts against illicit drugs and substance abuse, underscoring their importance for community well-being.

“We pray that we live long to celebrate many more years of peace, harmony, and love, for these values remain the true symbols that will take Sango-Ota to greater heights,” Hon. Okeodebija concluded.
