Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the All Progressives Congress (APC) spokesman in Ogun State, Tunde Oladunjoye, describing it as a “terrible loss.”
Governor Abiodun said he received the news of Oladunjoye’s demise with disbelief and shock, mourning the passing of the dynamic and loyal politician in the prime of his life.
In a heartfelt tribute, the governor described Oladunjoye as a forthright, consummate politician who stood firmly by his convictions. He praised the late spokesman as a stabilizing force in both the Ogun APC and government circles.
“Receiving the news of the departure of our gallant, highly resourceful, uncommonly cerebral, and hard-working party spokesman and consultant was devastating for me,” Abiodun said. “This is tragic news that is, frankly, difficult to fathom—one death too many. Yet, we acknowledge the sovereignty of Almighty God, who has called him home at this time.”
The governor highlighted Oladunjoye’s unwavering dedication, saying he never believed in half measures and always defended the policies and image of the Ogun State government with passion.
“He was an effective and highly accomplished spokesman whose brilliance was never in doubt,” Abiodun stated. “He was a voice of courage and easily the best spokesman Ogun APC has ever produced. His contributions to our administration’s successes cannot be overemphasized.”
Abiodun also commended Oladunjoye’s loyalty, tenacity, and role in strengthening the APC in Ogun State, describing him as “frank, down-to-earth, and focused.”
“Tunde Oladunjoye was a good man. He will be sorely missed,” the governor added.
He extended his condolences to the deceased’s family, the Ogun APC, and his friends, praying, *”Eternal rest grant him, O Lord!”*
Oladunjoye’s death has left a significant void in Ogun State’s political landscape, with many mourning the loss of a dedicated and influential figure.
