Ogun Assembly Refers Petition Against Pastor Ashimolowo to Committees, Seeks Relief for Disaster Victims

The Assembly also addressed a petition against Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), over allegations of harassment and intimidation in land transactions at Bluestone Garden City, Mowe. The petition, filed by Arc-View Investment Limited CEO Segun Oshundairo, was referred to the House Committees on Justice, Ethics, Public Petitions, Lands, and Housing for further investigation. Speaker Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide directed the committees to invite all parties involved for deliberations.

In a related development, the Assembly passed a resolution calling on the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to provide immediate relief to victims of a recent storm that devastated the Ikangba community in Odogbolu Local Government Area and other affected parts of the state. The resolution, sponsored by Minority Leader Hon. Lukman Adeleye, also requested the Ministries of Environment, Education, Science and Technology, and SEMA to appear before the Assembly on February 27, 2025, for further discussions.
