IPOKIA – The Ogun State Government has restated its commitment to supporting vulnerable citizens through targeted welfare programs. The assurance was given during a ceremony on Thursday for the distribution of clothing materials to residents of Ipokia Local Government Area.

Representing Governor Dapo Abiodun, the Director of the Department of Environmental Quality Control, Mr Kayode Akinwande, stated that the initiative was designed to provide a sense of belonging to the less privileged.
“This program is a testament to our administration’s focus on inclusive governance,” Akinwande said. He further indicated that the state government plans to extend similar welfare projects to other local government areas in the coming months.
The event saw a large turnout of residents from across the council area, who received various distributed items.
In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, praised the state government for the gesture.
“We commend His Excellency for remembering the people of Ipokia. We are grateful and hopeful that such supportive initiatives will continue to reach our community,” Chairman Avoseh stated.
The distribution was attended by a cross-section of local government officials, including the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Emmanuel Pogbe, and other senior departmental heads.
