IJEBU ODE – In a bid to promote child health and safety, Hon. Adebukanla Jamiu, the Councilor representing Ward 4 in Ijebu Ode Local Government, has donated first aid kits to pupils in several primary schools across his constituency.

The beneficiary schools include Otubu Memorial Primary School, Community Primary School, St. Michael Primary School, and Joke Taiwo Primary School, all located in the Apebi area of Ijebu Ode. The initiative is part of the lawmaker’s efforts to enhance the welfare of young learners and ensure a secure learning environment.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Adebukanla stressed the importance of early healthcare education and emergency preparedness.

*”As a Councilor representing Apebi, I am donating these first aid kits to pupils in primary schools within my ward. Children spend a significant part of their day in school, and it is crucial that they have access to basic medical supplies in case of emergencies,”* he said.

He also encouraged the pupils to focus on their studies, describing them as the future leaders of the nation.

In their separate remarks, Mrs. Onakoya Adetutu, Head Teacher of St. Michael Catholic Primary School, and Comrade Oduntan Sunday, Head Teacher of Community Primary School, Apebi, commended the gesture. They noted that the kits would help manage minor injuries and foster health awareness among the pupils.

Miss Isa Ganiyat, the Head Girl of Otubu Memorial Primary School, expressed gratitude on behalf of the pupils, thanking the councilor for the donation.

The event underscores the lawmaker’s commitment to improving educational and health standards in his constituency.
