Abeokuta – In a major festive season outreach, the House of Representatives member for Obafemi-Owode/Abeokuta North/Odeda Federal Constituency, Hon. Olumide Osoba, has distributed a wide range of empowerment items and cash gifts worth millions of naira to his constituents.
The event, held at the lawmaker’s residence in Ibara GRA, Abeokuta, drew stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) across all 38 wards of the federal constituency.
Hon. Osoba, represented by his aide, Mr. Seun Akinpelu, described the initiative as an annual effort to empower constituents and reinforce their sense of belonging. He urged continued support for the lawmaker, affirming his credible representation.
Items distributed included deep freezers, refrigerators, generators, sewing machines, grinding machines, and cash gifts to assist with transportation of the items. The exercise aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Ward Outreach initiative.
Speaking at the event, the APC Chairman for Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Akintunde Sarumi, commended Osoba for delivering dividends of democracy to his people. Other APC chairmen present also praised the lawmaker and urged beneficiaries not to sell the items, but to use them to start or grow businesses and eventually become employers of labour.
Beneficiaries from across the constituency expressed deep appreciation, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. They praised Hon. Osoba for his consistent commitment to community welfare and offered prayers for his continued success.
The initiative is designed to ease economic pressures, enhance local productivity, and spread joy during the festive season, further strengthening the bond between the representative and the people he serves.
