Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson, has opened up on his failed marriage with popular actress, Toyin Abraham.
In a recent interview on Channels TV’s ‘Rubbin Minds’ hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, he spoke about the two years marriage and Toyin’s relationship with Seun Egbegbe.
Johnson said as a man and the head of the house he is willing to take the blame for the breakup of their marriage. He said it takes two people to break up a relationship and that it was unfair that one party would be painted black and the other exonerated.
He said he was accused of cheating and that he had read a lot about the controversies that surrounded his failed marriage but, till now, there is no evidence he actually cheated.
Johnson said Toyin was in a relationship with Nigerian filmmaker, Olajide Kazeem, better known as Seun Egbegbe, while she was still married to him.

According to him, he has stayed away from talking about the marriage in the media because he believes that will make him less of a man. He, however, explained that some allegations about him, especially on infidelity, were untrue.
Johnson said:
“The internet does not forget, Seun Egbegbe said, permit me to mention the name, am not spiting anyone am just making a reference.
“He said in an interview with Goldmyne which was everywhere, as at May 31st they started seeing and we celebrated our second anniversary at July, so who is cheating?…”
He said he tried very hard to make the marriage work by apologising and made moves to reconcile adding that her friends were witnesses.
Johnson also said he is not legally divorced from the “Alakada’ actress but it’s a work in process. Meanwhile the actor said he is not legally married to another Nollywood actress, Seyi Edun, adding that he is only traditionally married to her.
He stressed that the divorce will definitely be complete before he legally ties the knot with his new wife.
When asked what was the greatest lesson from his old marriage and will not repeat in the new.
Johnson said his greatest lesson is to keep your private life out of the media. He said Toyin Abraham wanted to let everyone know that they were happy which eventually had an adverse effect on their short lived marriage.
