The People’s Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Owolabi Kola-Balogun, OKB, has urged the people of Ogun State to support and vote Atiku Abubakar as the next President of Nigeria.
Kola-Balogun made this statement at the Ogun Central PDP rally in Abeokuta. OKB noted that Atiku Abubakar remains the only alternative to the incumbent administration, which he said has brought untold hardship on Nigerians.“The situation in the country now requires a competent person and not a novice who will get to power and spend years learning what governance is about. This is a man that has been in government and understands the essentials of good governance,” OKB said.
Earlier in his address, the Ogun PDP governorship hopeful, Oladipupo Adebutu, thanked the people of Ogun State for accepting the party as an alternative to the current mess in which the APC has placed Nigerians. Adebutu urged the people to put their trust in PDP, elect its candidates at all levels and be hopeful of a life much more abundant for them.
The governorship candidate stated that PDP in Ogun State shall continue to mobilize youths, women, faith-based organizations and other groups to strengthen its support base for a successful outing in the next general elections, adding that he was optimistic Atiku’s presidency would address the challenges of nepotism, gross negligence of duty, lack of progress, and inequality facing the country under the APC administration.
