A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator, Joshua Lidani, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Lidani’s defection was announced on the floor of the Senate on Wednesday by Senate Leader Ahmad Lawan (APC, Yobe).
Lidani, a former deputy governor of Gombe State, represents Gombe South Senatorial District
The senator was elected on the platform of the PDP in 2015.
He lost his reelection bid to a serving member of the House of Representatives, Binta Bello, who won the PDP ticket to contest for the senatorial district.
