In a significant development in the ongoing child abuse case in Otta, Ogun State, the police have arrested Mr Odukaye Kunle, the father accused of brutally assaulting his son, Boluwatife. The arrest follows widespread public outcry and an investigation into the disturbing incident.

According to police authorities, Boluwatife and his mother will be taken to the Ogun State Police Medical Centre in Otta for comprehensive medical assessment and treatment. The Officer in Charge (OC) of the Medical Department has been directed to personally oversee the mission, ensuring that the victims receive the necessary care and support.

Mr Kunle, who is currently in police custody, is set to be arraigned in court on Monday. The charges against him are expected to reflect the severity of the alleged abuse, as authorities continue to gather evidence and statements related to the case.

This arrest marks a critical step in addressing the issue of child abuse in the community, with law enforcement agencies reiterating their commitment to protecting vulnerable children and ensuring justice for victims.

Further updates will be provided as the case progresses.
