IPOKIA–The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Avoseh Johnson Akohomeh, has pledged his administration’s full collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPC) to ensure the success of its programs, including the proposed national census.

The Chairman made the commitment on Tuesday when he received a high-powered delegation from the Commission led by the Honorable Federal Commissioner, Dr. Fasuba Ayobami, at the Ipokia Local Government Secretariat.

Hon. Avoseh commended the NPC for its invaluable services to society and promised continuous support in helping the Commission actualize its statutory responsibilities for the betterment of the council area and Ogun State.

In his opening address, the Federal Commissioner, Dr. Ayobami, commended the impressive turnout for the meeting. He charged all attendees to disseminate information about the Commission’s operations to every part of the local government.

The State Director of the NPC, Dr. Adenuga Olayinka, provided a detailed overview of the Commission’s operations. Key areas discussed included the issuance of birth and death certificates, foundational identity management, attestation certificates, and exhaustive deliberations on population matters and the proposed national census.

Responding, Hon. Avoseh assured the delegation that logistics for the proposed census would be duly addressed to guarantee a huge success in Ipokia.

The event was attended by a broad section of the local government’s leadership, including the LG Secretary, Hon. Babajide Johnson Olusola; the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Adeyinka Akeem Alao; all ward councilors; the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Senapon Pogbe; and all directors.

Also present were Hon. Adelabu David, Special Adviser on Education, Youth and Transportation; Hon. Akindele Lukmon, Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources; and representatives from the Zonal Education Office.
