Prominent political leaders, lawmakers, government officials, and progressive figures across Ogun State and beyond have poured encomiums on Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo as he marked his 47th birthday on January 24, 2026, celebrating a life widely defined by courage, consistency, and unwavering commitment to grassroots politics and public service.


In goodwill messages and commemorative tributes, Senator (Dr.) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, and Hon. Ademorin Kuye, Chairman, House Committee on Public Assets, described Akilo as a disciplined progressive whose political journey has remained anchored on principle, service, and loyalty to the people.
Senator Adeola praised Akilo as a dependable comrade whose commitment to progressive ideals has endured over the years, attributing his sustained relevance to his deep connection with the grassroots and his readiness to stand firm in the face of political pressure. In a similar vein, Dr Salako commended Akilo’s courage and consistency, praying for continued good health, divine guidance, and greater impact in the years ahead. Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye described him as a trusted ally and committed grassroots mobiliser whose contributions have helped shape political consciousness and civic engagement.
Adding to the chorus of commendation, Hon. Joseph Adegbesan, Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Ijebu North, Ijebu East, and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, highlighted Akilo’s political journey as a former chairmanship aspirant of Ijebu North East Local Government, describing it as a reflection of courage, vision, and genuine dedication to grassroots development.
