Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has reiterated his commitment of the ‘Gateway State’ appealing to the people to be patient with his administration.

Amosun spoke this morning at the 100 days in office interactive forum held at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state capital.

According to him, the 100 days in office was meant to be a mini executive council meeting where all his commissioners were billed to answer all the questions posed to him by the audience.

He said, “I want to emphasise that the five cardinal programmes of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN will be delivered to the fullest.

“I am now asking for your support as what has been destroyed some years back cannot be restored within a hundred days. But I would like to assure you that better days are ahead for all of us in this state.”

Governor Amosun disclosed that members of the visitation fact-finding panel committee whose names have not been made public have already been moving around the state.

He said their names would be disclosed after today’s programme, adding that they are elders who are knowledgeable in the education sector.

gathered that about 526 questions have been posted to Governor Amosun through social networks across the world. The governor has promised to address all the questions.

Answering a question, the Ogun State Commissioner for Special Duties, Prince Lanre Tejuosho explained that the governor is ready to make potable water available across the state.

He said the state government has offset N150 million debt owed the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, by the past administration has to boost energy for water supply.

ACN party leaders including Chief Olusegun Osoba, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chairman of the caretaker committees of the 20 local government areas, traditional rulers, artisans and others attended the programme.

As at the time of going to the press, the programme was ongoing and a documentary on Amosun’s 100 days in office was billed to be shown at the event.
