Oru – In a significant show of political unity, the Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu North Local Government Area has unanimously endorsed the re-election bids of key leaders at the federal, state, and national levels.

At a meeting held in Oru on Tuesday, the committee passed resolutions backing a second term for Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan, the member representing Ijebu North, Ijebu East, and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The body also endorsed the Ogun State Governor, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the Ogun East Senatorial ticket in the upcoming electoral cycle, and affirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in the 2027 presidential poll.

The motion for the triple endorsement was moved by the committee’s Treasurer, Mr Abolore Kasali Adesina, and seconded by Mr Adekunle Okunbajo, the APC Chairman for Ward 6.

According to a statement released after the meeting, the resolutions followed a “critical appraisal” of representation and governance at various levels. The committee emphasised the need to sustain the quality of leadership and projects initiated by the endorsed officials.

“The collective decision reflects our confidence in the track record and dedication of these leaders,” a council spokesperson said. “We believe continuity is vital for the consolidation of ongoing projects and the further advancement of our constituency and the nation.”

The statement was jointly signed by the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mosunmola Oladipo, and the Local Government Secretary, Taiwo Adeleye.
