OGUN STATE – The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern warning to the public, reaffirming the suspension of Senator Otunba Olugbenga Daniel and declaring that any engagements with him as a party member are “invalid and unrecognized.”
The party’s position was made public through an official letter dispatched to the APC National Chairman on Thursday, October 3, 2025.
The correspondence, jointly signed by the State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, and the State Secretary, Hon. Tella Aderibigbe, accused the Senator representing Ogun East of “continued public disregard for party discipline” following his initial suspension on August 19, 2025.
Citing the party’s constitution, the leadership emphasized that a suspended member forfeits all rights and privileges of membership.
“As part of the disciplinary processes outlined in our constitution, a member suspended pending investigation is expressly barred from participating in the proceedings of any party organ,” the statement read.
It specifically referenced Article 21, subsection (vii) of the APC Constitution, which strips a suspended member of voting rights, the right to attend meetings, and the ability to participate in any party activities until the suspension is formally lifted.
The party used the communication to directly address government institutions, political stakeholders, and the general public.
“Any and all dealings with Otunba Olugbenga Daniel in the capacity of a bona fide member of the APC are invalid, unrecognized, and of no effect to the Party,” the statement added.
The Ogun APC concluded by reaffirming its commitment to upholding internal discipline, order, and strict adherence to its constitutional guidelines.
