IPERU-REMO – In a significant political mobilisation move ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, Chairman of Odeda Local Government and the Ogun State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), has been unveiled as the Matron of “Team DA4BAT 2027.”

The announcement was made this afternoon in Iperu-Remo, the hometown of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, during the official launch and inauguration of the team’s state executives. The team’s full name, “Team Dapo Abiodun for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” signals its core mission: to galvanise grassroots support for both the state governor and the President ahead of the next general elections.
Also, the House of Representatives member for Remo Federal Constituency, Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji, was announced as the Team Chairman, consolidating a high-profile leadership structure.
The event drew a convergence of supporters from all Local Government Areas, described by political observers as a strategic show of force and early groundwork for 2027. It is seen as a deliberate move to demonstrate loyalty, build a robust political structure, and ensure continuity for the current administrations at both state and federal levels.
Addressing attendees, the State Coordinator of the team, Hon. Ajeigbe Umar, framed the launch as a demonstration of unwavering commitment to Governor Dapo Abiodun. He stated that “Team DA4BAT 2027” is designed as a strategic platform to foster unity, drive political education, and strengthen the movement’s presence across every ward in Ogun State.
The selection of Hon. Adeyemo as Matron leverages her influential position as the head of all local government chairmen in the state, positioning her as a critical bridge for grassroots mobilisation. Her role is expected to be pivotal in coordinating local government-level activities and rallying support for the group’s objectives.
