ABEOKUTA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has announced the formation of a high-level committee to monitor, evaluate, and report on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement released by the party, the move is in line with its commitment to ensuring a robust, inclusive, and seamless registration process for all eligible voters in the state and to bolster INEC’s efforts.
The committee’s primary terms of reference are:
1. To interface with INEC officials at the State and Local Government levels to address any logistical or administrative challenges.
2. To mobilise and encourage all eligible voters, especially party members and supporters, to come out en masse to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
3. To receive and document reports of any issues, anomalies, or bottlenecks from the field and work with relevant stakeholders to proffer solutions.
4. To submit a weekly situation report to the State Working Committee.

The APC urged all residents of Ogun State who are yet to register, or those who need to transfer their voting details or collect their PVCs, to immediately visit the nearest INEC-designated registration centre. The party stated that the PVC is the citizens ‘ choice of a government that will continue to deliver progressive dividends.
The party expressed confidence in INEC’s capacity to conduct a credible exercise and assured the people of Ogun State of its unwavering support for a democratic process that is free, fair, and inclusive.
