ILARO – The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has officially announced a bye-election to fill the vacant councillorship seat for Ilaro Ward 1 in Yewa South Local Government Area, scheduled for this Saturday, September 20, 2025.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the Commission stated that voting will commence at 8:00 a.m. and conclude promptly at 2:00 p.m.

To ensure a smooth and secure electoral process, OGSIEC has declared that there will be a restriction of vehicular movement within the boundaries of Ilaro Ward 1 for the duration of the voting period. Residents are advised to plan their movements accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.

The Commission has called on all residents to comply peacefully with all rules and regulations governing the election. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that security personnel will be fully deployed across the ward to maintain law and order and to safeguard the integrity of the electoral exercise.

The notice was signed by the Chairman of OGSIEC, Babatunde Osibodu, Esq.
