ABEOKUTA – The Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State chapter, has declared that it will implement a strict “No PVC, No Work” policy for its members starting in January 2026.

The policy was announced by the State Chairman of the union, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, during an extended State Executives’ Meeting held in Abeokuta on Wednesday.

In his address, Sokoya urged all members to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He framed the acquisition of the PVC as both a civic duty and a necessary tool to show appreciation for the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

“We all are seeing the giant strides of our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our performing Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON. There is no other way to repay them than with our votes in 2027,” Sokoya stated.

The Chairman issued a stern warning, stating that the union would not tolerate any complacency. He emphasized that any member without a PVC by the January 2026 deadline would be barred from the union’s operations.

“Our only reward for their well-done job is to vote for them come 2027 and we cannot achieve that without our PVC,” he added, clarifying that his stance was based on performance.

Sokoya specifically pointed to the ongoing Lagos–Sagamu–Ijebu Ode–Benin Expressway project as an example of President Tinubu’s quality leadership, describing it as a “concrete-made road that will stand the test of time.”

He also praised Governor Abiodun for what he termed “inclusive and people-centered” governance that has delivered developmental projects to all local government areas in the state.

Concluding his address, Otunba Sokoya gave a final directive to the union’s members.

“By January 2026, if you do not have a PVC, count yourself out of working for this great union. This is no joke. Get your PVC,” he warned.
