Ikenne – Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday exercised his civic duty in the ongoing Remo Federal Constituency bye-election, casting his vote at Polling Unit 002, Ita Osanyin, Iperu Ward 3, Ikenne Local Government Area.
The governor arrived at the polling station at approximately 10:33 a.m. and was accredited before proceeding to vote. Speaking briefly after the exercise, he commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
“I am pleased with the smooth conduct of this election so far,” Governor Abiodun stated. “The turnout is impressive, and the process reflects our commitment to credible and transparent elections in Ogun State.”
He urged voters in the constituency to remain patient and orderly while awaiting the final results, emphasising the importance of allowing democracy to prevail.
The governor’s participation underscores the significance of the bye-election in determining representation for the Remo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
