Scores of residents in Ogun State have said they would only take the female protesting politicians under the platform of the divided All Progressives Congress (APC) serious over their threat to go naked in protest to support Adekunle Akinlade as the Governorship Candidate of the party, if the wife of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, and wives of Akinlade lead the protest.
This was made known in reaction to the Wednesday threat of the female politicians to storm the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Saturday, as a way to compel the leadership of the party on need to upturn its decision on the choice of Dapo Abiodun as the party Governorship Candidate in 2019
Similarly, the respondents suggested additional following list to be part of the protest proposed to take place in Abuja; all Ogun State Female Commissioners, all female Special Advisers, female Special Assistants, all female Heads and members of Statutory Corporations, all the wives of Governor Amosun’s Commissioner.
Reports that, the respondents declared that anything short of this, will make the threat a child play, and emphasized that, ‘only this will make the whole world know that Amosun means business’
