Hon. Fatiu Fola Salami (FFS), the lawmaker representing Ifo II Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly, today officially inaugurated multiple constituency projects, reaffirming his commitment to public welfare, education, and security.
The event commenced with an inspection of an ongoing four-unit toilet facility at St. Paul’s African Church School, Agbado. The project, equipped with a soakaway system and borehole water supply, aims to improve sanitation and hygiene for students and staff.
From Agbado, Hon. Salami proceeded to Okearo, where he performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Police Station, a strategic initiative to bolster security in Okearo and neighbouring communities.
The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including:
– Hon. Idris Olamilekan Kushimo, Chairman of Ifo Local Government Council
– The Olokearo-designate and his palace chiefs
– Community Development Committee (CDC) executives and Baales
– Senior officers from the Nigerian Police Force (Agbado Division), led by SP Awoniyi
– The Director of Works, Nigerian Police, Ogun State Command, who supervised the laying
Residents and community leaders applauded the project, citing its potential to enhance security in the densely populated area, home to over 50,000 people. The initiative is expected to deter crime and strengthen law enforcement presence.
During the foundation-laying, Hon. Salami offered prayers, thanking God for the project’s progress and expressing optimism about its timely completion. The Olokearo-elect also prayed for the facility’s successful execution, hoping it would be ready before his official coronation.
Hon. Idris Olamilekan Kushimo praised the lawmaker’s efforts, stating:

Hon. Salami also disclosed plans for additional projects, including new classroom blocks and borehole water systems in areas facing severe water shortages.
