Odeda – The Leader of the Odeda Legislative Council, Hon. Rotimi Adeyemi, alongside his colleagues, has commenced a three-day oversight visit to assess projects executed by the local government across Wards One to Ten.

The tour covered projects in Odeda, Itesi, Olodo, Alagbagba, Orile-Ilugun, Osiele, Obantoko, Alabata, Obete, and Opeji. The councillors engaged with community members to evaluate the impact of the initiatives implemented under the leadership of the Council Chairman, Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo.

Among the projects inspected were newly constructed motorised boreholes in Odeda, Itesi, Olodo, and Alagbagba, as well as a culvert at Aba Ojo in Ilugun Ward 5. The team also reviewed the rehabilitation of Alagbede School in Ward 7 (Obantoko) and the construction of a culvert on Oniroko Road, Mawuko, in Opeji Ward.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, the Chairman of the House Committee on Works, Hon. Segun Kuyoro, commended the quality of work done and assured that the legislative arm would return for further assessments.

The people of Opeji Ward, who had long advocated for the culvert project, expressed joy over its completion. Similarly, residents of Obete Ward lauded the newly constructed two-block classroom, pledging continued support for the local government’s efforts.

Additionally, a new community office within the local government secretariat was inspected, alongside a motorised borehole in Alabata Ward 8 and another culvert in Opeji Ward.

Mrs. Adunni Kasali, a community leader, expressed gratitude to the council for its developmental strides, stating that the projects have significantly improved living conditions.

In his remarks, Hon. Rotimi Adeyemi thanked the grassroots for their unwavering support and urged them to sustain their partnership with the government.

Hon. Segun Kuyoro, Chairman of the Works Committee, also praised Hon. Dr. Folasade Adeyemo for her transparency and accountability in project execution, reaffirming the legislative arm’s commitment to ensuring good governance.

The oversight exercise underscores the council’s dedication to delivering democratic dividends to the people of Odeda Local Government.
