ABEOKUTA – Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, on the celebratory occasion of his 20th Coronation Anniversary.
In a congratulatory message released on Wednesday, the Senator, who represents Ogun Central, conveyed his “immense joy and a profound sense of pride” on behalf of his constituents and family.
He described the monarch’s two-decade reign as a “golden era of transformative leadership, peace, and unprecedented progress for Egbaland and indeed, the entire Ogun State.”
Senator Salisu praised the Alake for his unique leadership style, which he said masterfully blends “the rich, time-honoured traditions of our ancestors and a visionary embrace of modernity and development.”
“Your wisdom has been a guiding light, your steadfastness a pillar of strength, and your unwavering commitment to the welfare of your people a source of inspiration to all,” the Senator stated.
Highlighting the direct impact of the royal father’s reign, Senator Salisu, who serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, noted a synergy between the monarch’s vision and his legislative work.
“Your support for education, infrastructure, and the empowerment of our youth aligns perfectly with our legislative agenda… Your foresight in encouraging technological advancement within the kingdom is commendable,” he said.
The Senator concluded by celebrating the monarch’s legacy of “impactful service, exemplary character, and royal grace,” and offered traditional prayers for his long life and continued health.
