Habeeb Okikiola, the controversial Nigerian singer popularly known as Portable, has surrendered himself to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba. The development comes after the Ogun State Police Command declared him wanted over alleged involvement in a criminal matter.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the singer’s surrender in a text message to reporters on Wednesday. “Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted the Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up,” Hundeyin stated.
Portable, known for his hit songs and often making headlines for his controversial lifestyle, is expected to be transferred to the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Abeokuta for further questioning and investigation. Details of the charges against him remain unclear at this time.
