In a confirmed security breach, six real estate marketers have been abducted by gunmen in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, confirmed the incident occurred on Friday in Oyebola village, Obafemi-Owode. According to the CP, the victims were staff of a Lagos-based real estate company who were on an inspection visit to the company’s land in the area.
“It was during their visit to this land that the six people were abducted,” CP Ogunlowo stated. “The command has been on it since, and we shall definitely ensure that these people regain their freedom.”
The attack in Obafemi-Owode adds to a growing list of abduction incidents across the country, raising concerns about the safety of travelers and professionals working in remote areas.
Police say operations are underway to secure the release of the six marketers.
