In a remarkable display of commitment to community development, Hon. Olumide Osoba, the dynamic representative of Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda Federal Constituency, is advancing his transformative Community Light Up Initiative* to new frontiers. Following the successful installation of the first phase of 500 solar lights—part of a larger plan to install 1,000 units—the initiative is now being extended to bring light and development to additional rural communities.

The latest phase of the project will benefit four key communities, ensuring they gain access to reliable electricity and improved infrastructure. The communities set to benefit include:

– Adedero in Egbeda Ward, Obafemi Local Government
– Ewenje Village in Odeda Local Government
– Sountan Village in Olodo Ward, Odeda Local Government
– Onisasa in Ibara-Orile/Onisasa Ward, Abeokuta North Local Government

As part of the initiative, 500kVA power-generating transformers, concrete poles, and high-tension cables will be installed in all four communities. This infrastructure upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the quality of life for residents, fostering economic activities, improving security, and enabling better access to essential services.

Hon. Olumide Osoba’s unwavering dedication to rural electrification underscores his commitment to bridging the gap between urban and rural development. His Community Light Up Initiative is not just about providing light; it is a catalyst for progress, empowerment, and sustainable growth for his constituents.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Osoba reiterated his resolve to ensure that no community is left behind in the quest for development. “Our goal is to bring light to every corner of our constituency, empowering our people and creating opportunities for growth. This is just the beginning,” he said.

As the project continues to gain momentum, residents of Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode, and Odeda Federal Constituency can take pride in having a representative who is deeply invested in their welfare and progress. Hon. Olumide Osoba’s visionary leadership and relentless pursuit of development are indeed lighting the way for a brighter future.

Stay tuned as the Community Light Up Initiative continues to illuminate lives and transform communities across the constituency.
