Ex-APC governorship candidate in Ekiti Ajayi dies at 51

The former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr. Kole Ajayi, is dead.

governorship candidateAjayi, a lawyer, reportedly died of heart attack on Friday while traveling to Lagos for a function of Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni Association.

He was 51.

The deceased was the National President of EKSU Alumni Association and a member of the institution’s Governing Council.

He was also the Publisher of the now rested EKITI NOW Newspaper.

Ajayi was the Accord Party candidate in the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti.

He joined the APC recently and declared his governorship bid.

He, however, withdrew from the race before commencement of sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
