IJEBU-IGBO – Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to the Orimolusi of Ijebu-Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adebajo, on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory message released on Tuesday, Governor Abiodun lauded Oba Adebajo, who is also the Acting Chairman of the Ijebu Traditional Council, as a distinguished monarch and a dedicated custodian of the Ijebu people’s cultural values and heritage.
The governor highlighted that the monarch’s ascension to the throne has ushered in a period of notable development and renewed unity for Ijebu-Igbo and its surrounding communities.
“Today offers not only a moment to celebrate your life, but also a fitting opportunity to reflect on your impactful reign and the renewed sense of unity and purpose you have brought to the people of Ijebu-Igbo and beyond,” Governor Abiodun stated.
He further described Orimolusi’s reign as being marked by peace, inclusiveness, and progress, which have collectively contributed to strengthening communal identity and pride.
“As the custodian of our cultural heritage, you have carried the weight of legacy with grace, ensuring that tradition, modern governance, and community development walk hand in hand,” Abiodun added. “Your commitment to fostering collaboration among traditional rulers and government institutions stands as a testament to your progressive outlook.”
The governor concluded his message with prayers for the monarch, asking God to grant him continued wisdom, good health, long life, and a peaceful reign.
“On this auspicious day, we celebrate not only a king, but a statesman, bridge-builder, and father-figure whose reign continues to reaffirm the enduring values of wisdom, patience, and service,” Governor Abiodun said.
