The Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, has presented a proposed budget of N8.6 billion for the 2025 fiscal year to the 10th Legislative Council for approval.
The draft budget, titled *”Budget of Hope Assurance,”* was presented on Thursday at the Legislative Chamber of the Local Government Secretariat in Ogbere.
Dr. Kehinde commended the lawmakers for their cooperation with the executive arm, noting that the cordial relationship has contributed to the success of his administration. He also expressed gratitude to Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR, CON) for his continuous support of the council.
The balanced budget, with both revenue and expenditure projected at N8,626,400,000.00, is designed to boost internally generated revenue, revive dormant income sources, extend democratic dividends across the local government, and improve staff welfare.
In his response, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Fasheyi Akindele, assured the chairman of the lawmakers’ commitment to swift deliberation and passage of the appropriation bill.
The event was attended by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Sina Ipaye; the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Alhaji Majiyagbe Moruf; supervisors, special advisers, directors, and heads of departments.
