Ijebu North East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Foluso Badejo, has pledged his full support for a new community development project spearheaded by alumni of a local school. The initiative, led by Dr. Kunle Ogunfuwa, aims to build an IT centre, renovate classrooms, and create new health and library facilities for students and the wider community.
During a meeting yesterday, August 11, 2025, Dr. Ogunfuwa and his team presented their plan to Chairman Badejo, highlighting their commitment to giving back to their alma mater. Dr. Ogunfuwa commended the Chairman’s efforts to develop the constituency and requested support in two key areas: enhanced security and the provision of additional teachers.
In his response, Hon. Badejo expressed his gratitude for the alumni’s initiative, noting their choice to invest in Ijebu North East. He assured them of his full support throughout the project’s lifecycle, from inception to completion. He also praised the group for their past, ongoing, and future intervention projects.
To address the need for more teachers, the Chairman promised to implement strategies to encourage educators to remain in their posts, including the provision of free accommodation.
