Ipokia – The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, yesterday hosted a delegation from The Charting Lagos Project to discuss potential tourism investments in the area. The delegation, led by Mr. Tobi Osunuga and Mrs. Francisca Dyegh, explored opportunities for developing a resort aimed at boosting tourism and economic growth.
During the visit, the delegation inspected several waterfront sites with strategic access by road and waterways, identified as prime locations for holiday and recreational facilities. Hon. Avoseh emphasised the local government’s commitment to supporting investments that align with the Ogun State Government’s ISEYA development agenda, which prioritises tourism as a key economic driver.
“We are excited about the prospects of this collaboration, which promises to unlock new opportunities for our people and position Ipokia as a tourism destination,” Avoseh stated.
The discussions also covered land availability and the necessary frameworks for executing the proposed project. Further engagements are expected as both parties work towards finalising plans for the resort.
This initiative reflects the broader vision of His Excellency Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun CON, to diversify Ogun State’s economy through sustainable tourism development.
