NATA urges members to involve in politics

The Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) has urged its members to actively participate in politics in the forthcoming general elections.

NataChairman, Lagos Chapter of the association Asiwaju Jacob Omonide Fayeun made this known to the member during the central working committee and national executive council meeting of the association in Lagos on Thursday.

The meeting is a continuation process of the association’s constitution amendment.

“I will advise all members to involve in politics at the each state and federal level, we should support any strong party in each individual state and the ruling party at national level, also be closer to government at all levels, as the biggest association in Nigeria, we should get some things, politics is a game of number so we should make use of our large numbers and get something from government at all level” said Asiwaju.

He also urged the members to make use of technology in their place of work to be able to meet up the world standard.

“The world is going digital and I implore all members of NATA to try as much as possible to follow this trend; we should we make use of any opportunity brought//introduce to us. We must not be stagnant at one point, always try to move the way things are being modernized. I will advise all states and national body to take this database serious. We must all have our data in each state and also the national level. All members in each state should embrace insurance and get form, make sure you insure all our properties. The General Secretary and other members should be conversant with internet throughout the world inorder to get NGOs and forcing donors who can assist the association financially, that is forcing grant”, Asiwaju added.

In his speech, the National President, Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), Comrade Mogaji Muhammed commended the electoral body of the association for conducting free and fair election and also added that the association is ready for the review and amendment of their constitution.

According to him “In our to reposition NATA, we must exercise high sense of intellect in the review of the NATA constitution which we started in Benin City, Edo State so that after the review our constitution can stand the test of time”.

Also in his speech, National Vice President, NATA, South West Zone, Comrade Adebayo Jimoh Kolawole, urged all the genuine engine oil producer and representatives in the OVH to register with the association.

“I wish to use this forum to call on all genuine engine oil producer and representatives in the OVH to as matter of urgency register with our organization before the year runs out and start to lift the association both in kind and in cash or else NATA should instruct its members nationwide to stop using such oil that the proprietors fail to recognize us. It is time for NATA to its huge strength as power.
